Description
Ruaha National park is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape The Park is about the size of Belgium and relatively remote with an unusual combination of East and Southern African wildlife and birds. It is noted for its large numbers of greater and lesser kudu, buffalo and sable & roan antelopes. It has a significant number of African wild dogs and more elephant than any other national park in Tanzania. Ruaha is generally reached by air and is best visited during the dry season between July and November when the animals concentrate near the river. The Great Ruaha River as other rivers like Mwagusi, Jongomero and Mzombe serve as the life-line of the park. During dry season, these rivers become mostly the main source of water for wildlife
