A guided tour of a spice plantation starts with a drive through the countryside along tree-lined roads. Your guide will show you how to identify fruits and spices and you will be invited to see, feel and taste everything. The farm workers climb trees to seek out specific spices such as the cloves inside little pink flowers, cinnamon from the bark of a tree or dig up ginger from the root of the plant. In addition, you will be shown the lipstick tree, henna bushes and ylang-ylang famous for its scent. Taste fresh fruit such as pineapple and bananas. You will receive palm leaf accessories including bracelets or ties and baskets, which are woven right in front of you. It is possible to purchase exotic spices such as pepper and nutmeg too.
